Welcome to 706 Fly Guy
PTSD vet uses fly fishing as a healing process
Take a tour through our site. My wife and I want to share what fly fishing has done for my PTSD, as well as other veterans. Here, at 706 Fly Guy, you will learn to fly fish, tie flies, and build rods. You will be along with me on my journey across the U.S., speaking with VA hospitals and clinics to promote more outdoor activity. I want folks to know that living with PTSD isn't a life sentence for themselves or their families. Any monies raised trough our online shop or through donations, will 100% be given back to the mission. 17 veterans suicides a day is too many. Work with me to help reduce that number as low as we can. Thanks you for your support!

Fly fishing has really helped my dad in his journey with PTSD. Before, he didn’t really have an outlet or a way out into the world. With fly fishing, it has given him a renewed sense of purpose. I feel that fly fishing has given me my dad back in a lot of ways.
